Resonating with Zizai's Unfolding through the Structure of Writing

Zizai cannot be fully captured in words. What we call The Philosophy of Zizai is a form of linguistic practice within Zizai, generated through tension and unfolding in structure. It is also a local manifestation of Zizai.

Language itself is an instrumental mechanism for coordinating tension among Jizai, yet no established structure of expression can exhaust Zizai. At the same time, language is a structural interface through which tension becomes manifest, allowing local dimensions of Zizai to be contemplated and manifested through structure.

From Language to Writing: A Further Stabilization of the Coordination Mechanism

  1. Language is a resonant structure through which differences are coordinated. It is living and changeable.
  2. Writing is a kind of “frozen mark” of language. It transforms fluid patterns of resonance into static structures that can be transmitted.
  3. When we write The Philosophy of Zizai, we temporarily compress a multidimensional, fluid structure of tension into symbols manifested in two dimensions.

This is necessary for communication, recording, and transmission. Yet it also brings limitations.

The Unzizai of Writing: Locality, Fixation, and Misleading Implications

  1. Locality: Writing cannot express multidimensional tensions simultaneously. It must proceed through linear narration, so any written philosophy presents only a particular perspective.
  2. Fixation: Once something has been set down in writing, readers may assume that what has been said is the thing itself, forgetting that Zizai has never stood still.
  3. Misleading implications: The logical structures of language—subject, predicate and object; causality; and classification—can project the illusion that the world is fully explainable through language. This conflicts with the open-ended tensions of Zizai.

The Zizai of Writing: Unfolding within Tension

Each manifestation of language is constrained by its particular structure and mode of expression. These limitations also give rise to new tensions within language. Writing within The Philosophy of Zizai unfolds through sustained awareness of the tensions and limits of language, allowing its modes of expression to continue generating.

Accordingly, we adopt the following practices:

  1. An interwoven network of terms: Concepts are situated within tension and its interrelations rather than defined in isolation.
  2. Ongoing revision through versions: Each version is understood as a distinctive configuration of tension coordination here and now; a subsequent version constitutes another attempt at coordination.
  3. The co-constitution of form and content: What matters is not only what is said, but also the structure through which it is said. The linguistic structure of the philosophy itself participates in the philosophy’s own dynamic of tension, structure, and coordination.

Finally: The Philosophy of Zizai Is Not a Finished Product

It is a process-structure that continues to unfold.

It establishes no central authority of truth, creates no single linguistic authority, and claims no ultimate answer. Through language, a mode of expression with its own limitations, The Philosophy of Zizai participates in the local manifestation of Zizai. The limitations of language do not mean that Zizai lies outside language; rather, they show that no particular expression can exhaust Zizai. The tensions between these limitations and expression itself also continue to participate in the unfolding of the philosophy.

This is why the writing continues and its versions are revised—not to obtain a “final version,” but to remain in Zizaily Zizaiing.
